How do I apply for a marriage license?

Marriage licenses can be obtained in the Auditor-Treasure’s office. The application process can be time consuming. Please arrive at the Auditor Treasurers office by 4 p.m. to assure adequate time.

To start the process, you must complete an eMarriage Application online at home or using a smartphone. We will print the application when you arrive to apply for the license. Both of the parties must appear in person to complete the application process. Please bring your valid Driver's License as identification.

The license is valid for a period of 6 months. You will be provided one certified copy of the certificate at no charge. Furthermore, the application fee is $115, however you may be able to qualify for a reduced marriage fee of $40. We take cash, check or card. There is a convenience fee for a card.
