Established in 2013, the Springvale County Park disc golf course was the first of its kind in Isanti County. Disc golf is similar to traditional golf in how it is played, but instead of using a ball and club, the golfer uses a flying disc. The object of the game is putting the disc in the hole (basket) in as few throws as possible. Disc golf provides a fun inexpensive experience while getting exercise outdoors.
The course consists of 18 holes, with each hole having both a short and long tee pad. This is a challenging course with numerous wetlands, vegetation, overall length, and moderate elevation changes.
