Total acreage of the park is 173 acres consisting of open fields, woods, and wetlands with frontage on both Horseshoe and Horseleg Lakes. Isanti County Parks and the Isanti Soil & Water Conservation District (ISWCD) have worked cooperatively to restore 70 acres of native prairie habitat at the park. A Cost Share Grant in the amount of $55,000 was awarded to the project through ISWCD by the MN Board of Water & Soil Resources. Future
plans for the park consist of a roadway and parking area ending at a
picnic shelter along Horseleg Lake. Canoe access along with over
four miles of multi-use trails will also be developed. Three
boardwalks will allow access across the parks wetlands.
