Bus Drivers (Part-Time) – Heartland Express (Transit) Department
Isanti County is seeking applications for intermittent part-time Bus Drivers in the Isanti County Heartland Express (Transit) Department.  Requirements:  CDL-Class C with passenger endorsement and a current DOT health card.  Must have ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, and must be able to follow proper procedures for lifting and transporting individuals and physical ability to perform these functions.  Starting salary:  $14.34 per hour.  AA/EEO

Veterans Services Officer (Full-Time) - Veterans Services Department
Isanti County is seeking applications for a department head of a progressive Veteran’s Service Office in a rapidly growing county.  Duties: Provides assistance for veterans, their dependents, or survivors in a variety of programs.  Qualifications:  Must be a veteran as defined in MN Statutes 197.601, a resident of the State of MN, a citizen of the United States, and within 6 months of the appointment, must receive training and education for the duties of the position (laws, rules, and regulations) pertaining to the United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs.  Must also pass the required background checks.  Starting salary:  $27.43 per hour with benefits.  Applications and resumes required.  EEO/AA

Current Family Services Merit System Employment Opportunities

Vacancies in the Family Services Department are Filled Using the Minnesota Merit System.

The Merit System consists of examinations which may include one or more of the following: written examination, oral examination, and/or rating of experience/education. The names of applicants who successfully completed all required examinations are listed as eligible applicants in order of the score and geographic area. When a vacancy exists with Isanti County, the supervisor will request a list of eligible applicants from the Merit System and conduct personal interviews. 

A separate examination is required for each Merit System Classification.  Classifications in Isanti County currently include the following: Office Support Specialist, Accounting Technician, Support Enforcement Aide, Case Aide, Eligibility Worker, Child Support Officer, Collections Officer, Financial Assistance Specialist, Support & Collections Specialist, Welfare Fraud Investigator, Office Services Supervisor, Social Worker, Fiscal Supervisor I, Collection Services Supervisor I, Financial assistance Supervisor I, and Social Services Supervisor.  Some classifications remain closed for examination until a vacancy occurs in a county.  For classification education and experience requirements, or to apply for an examination, please visit the Minnesota Merit System Website.
