Seasonal Aquatic Invasive Species Inspectors (3) - Zoning Department

Isanti County is seeking applicants for three (3) part-time seasonal Aquatic Invasive Species Inspectors in the Isanti County Zoning Department.  A one-day DNR training is required which will be provided.  Must be 18 years of age and possess a current Minnesota Driver’s license.  This position is for 25 hours per week, with possible evenings and weekends included.  This position will start in May, 2015, and end in October, 2015.  Salary:  $15.00 per hour.  Application and resume required.  EOE/AA

Position open for a full-time Public Health Planner in the Isanti County Public Health Department. Duties include: Identifies, engages, and involves partners in community health assessments and evaluation; coordinates department quality improvement and quality assurance activities/projects; conducts data management to assess demographic, programmatic, socioeconomic, and community health statistics; leads planning, applying, and assists with implementation of department grants; manages departments health information technology; assists with departments public relations. Position open for a full-time Finance Director/Assistant Auditor-Treasurer in the County Auditor-Treasurer’s office.  Primary duties include supervising the county’s accounting and payroll functions as well as assisting in preparation of the annual budget.  Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and three years’ experience in preparation of financial statements.  Desired qualifications:  Familiarity with governmental accounting principles.  Starting salary: $34.75 per hour with benefits.  Application and resume required.  AA/EEO

Administrative Assistant III (Part-Time) - Sheriff's Department

Isanti County is accepting applications for a part-time (up to 29 hours per week) Administrative Assistant III in the County Sheriff’s Department.  Duties include a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including transcribing of statements and maintaining a current record keeping system, with the majority of the position processing gun permits.  Computer experience required, along with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access; transcribing experience also required.  Starting salary is $17.12 per hour with prorated variable benefits.  Application and resume required.  AA/EEO

Social Workers 

Isanti County Family Services has current openings for a Child Protection Social Worker and a Mental Health Social Worker.  Salary $24.38 per hour.

Vacancies in the Family Services department are filled using the Minnesota Merit System.

The Merit System consists of examinations which may include one or more of the following: written examination, oral examination, and rating of experience/education. The names of applicants who successfully completed all required examinations are listed as eligible applicants in order of the score and geographic area. When a vacancy exists with Isanti County, the supervisor will request a list of eligible applicants from the Merit System and personal interviews.
