Transient Merchant License

Minnesota Statute 329.099 requires that any out-of-state business coming into Isanti County to sell goods or services must purchase a Transient Merchant License.

The license is valid for one year, only at the place indicated on the original application.

How To Obtain

  1. Fill out the Transient Merchant License application form and the Certification of Compliance form.
  2. The application form must also be signed by a Notary Public.

Required Identification

Notarization requires a Driver's License or State Identification Card.

Required Fees

A surety bond is required in the amount of $1,000.00, designating Isanti County on the line that reads "bound onto _______."

The license fee is $150.00

The Isanti County Auditor office can accept payment by cash or check.
